As you know I'm having car problems. I have a very good idea what the problem is. (Bad Camshaft Positioning Sensor.) I can't fix this one on my own as the sensor needs to be calibrated and I don't have the computer programs needed for this.

I decided that today was the day to get the car checked out and find out about a local Garage that has a bad reputation. I had my wife drive to this garage and tell them it was acting up. She gave them a nice list of the symptoms the car was showing and they told her they would have to put it on the Diagnostic Computer.

A short while later they told my wife that the car was in bad shape and needed major work done to it. They gave her a written list of the problems with the engine; (Bad Fuel Pump, Bad Fuel Sensors, Worn Timing Chain, bad fuel filter, worn out Carb. etc.) They told her they could fix the car but it would take several days and cost about $1500.00.

My wife then paid for the Diagnostics and told them she would have to talk it over with me before making a decision. She also asked for the diagnostics print out. The manager told her that she wouldn't understand the printout and that he couldn't allow her to drive the car as it was too dangerous. My wife texted me this and I made a phone call.

About half an hour later the car was rolled out of the garage by the local Sheriffs Department and the owner was arrested for fraud and attempted theft. (The theft was the holding of the vehicle.)

The funny thing is the evidence. They gave my wife a list of what was wrong with the car. This list was showing things the diagnostics wouldn't have shown. Not to mention the car is Fuel injected and doesn't have a Carb.

Oh and I did get the Diagnostics Print Out and it does show a bad Cam Sensor. I'll be bringing the car to a reputable garage tomorrow morning to get the work done.
