I Got a JOB!!!

I'm so excited. Despite my mishap with the bus the other day, I was hired. I start next Wednesday. It's at a nursing home working as a CNA. On Wed. I'll just be doing some office work, then on the following Monday I'll start the training for state certification. They offer excellent tuition assistance if it's in healthcare, so I'm definately going to be going for that.

I can take a big, deep breath now.

I'm still working on daycare, but for the next few weeks I have a friend helping me out.

As for my husband, he came by to pick up some things, and is staying at his friends house. At this time, he doesn't believe he needs help. He calls daily, and it ranges from "I love you" to "I hate you". Sadly, not once has he asked about his daughters. Since I rec'd notice today that my phone is due to be shut off in 2 weeks, I may not have to worry about his calls anymore.

I feel as if things are looking up. I haven't heard back from the area agencies that I applied to for help w/ Nov. rent, but I'm hoping I'll get good news soon.

Anyway, just a brief update. Thank you again for all the support and advice. Now ya'll pray for a mild winter here, so I don't freeze at the bus stop.

Although, I had a little mishap with a deer this morning. Not anything noticeable, but it did bend a little trim and crack a light.

I will get that fixed though.

That's great.. i'm so happy for you..

Quick question, isn't his phoning you against the restraining order? (i think it's that way in Washington, not sure about other states) If it is, tell him to stop calling you. And if all else fails, call the phone company explain to them what is going on. You might be able to get your phone number changed for free. (Also ask about having your phone service only local calls, unless long distance is a necessatiy for you.) With small children it's not good to have no phone. You never know they may work with you. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm pretty excited to be going back to work and feeling productive again.

ReallyOldLady () ... I'll be wearing scrubs, but a friend has given me 5 tops and 2 pairs of pants. So I'm covered on that. I'm on the hunt for some good shoes. There's a local consignment shop near one of the hospitals that deals with healthcare stuff only, so I'm gonna check it out.

Kymberley, sorry about the doe. (Or Doe...sorry about Kymberley.)

As far as shifts, for training it will be 8-5, after that I'm not sure what shift I'll be assigend. I'm hoping for first, but we'll see. I'll take anything right now.
