I'm glad we're backing the USA, but...

...I hope that when Bush says he's going to "whip" terrorism and wants the world to help out he means to set his own house in order. Stopping collections for the IRA in America would be a good indication of his intentions - the bombs and weapons bought with American donations have caused a hell of a lot of damage and loss of life in the UK, over the years.

As an example, a post here a couple of weeks or so ago (I cannot recall who made it, but I'll try a search and see what comes up) made mention of Americans rattling collection tins at Irish-themed events in the USA. The sales pitch they were making was, if my memory of the post serves was, "Your ten cents could help kill a British soldier. It's the best bargain you'll ever get."

The bomb at Canary Wharf a few years ago was just as sickening as the latest events in the USA, if not on the same scale.

Anyway, that's for later - for now, let's get behind the Americans and find the scum.

I agree with you sir..this shouldn't happen anywhere. If this does mean we go to War..i know many who shall probably not come back..but as of yet, I haven't met a single one of them not willing to march where we must to destroy this attrocity. Not just for America..but for EVERYONE.

They are claiming it will happen one cell at a time, maybe the world finally has a brain, and maybe they do really mean all terrorism. Not just Islamic.

NATO has approved for War if the US pinpoint who did this and what nation is harboring them. If they dont hand him over, NATA has already invoked article 5 of their charter...which means World War. 29 nations are involved with the US on the side that has been struck. And they are saying many cells are involved, yes, currently, 2 arrests in germany, a 3rd person has a warrant out there. About 50 arrests in US so far...well, not arrests...yet...they are simply DETAINED as they put it i believe...we shall see

Thank you, dergar :) As Bush said - the people who harbour terrorists and support them are just as guilty as the terrorists.

I just hope the resolve of the British people to stand side-by-side with the United States over the coming months is nvere shaken. Unfortunately, the BBC has already begun to backslide and I think this will be seen in the other broadcaster as well.
The BBC had a so-called 'debate' on air last night supposedly representing a cross-section of the British public. It manifestly did not. The people there were all from London and they were of ethnic backgrounds which were obviously designed to stimulate criticism of the United States. In fact, the object of the programme was to criticize United States policy in the Middle East and NATO's operationalization of Article 5.
It sickened me.
It was disgusting.
I have let them know - as, I am pleased to relate, have thousands of others.
