We've got a comedian...

...called Norman Wisdom who was very big in the 1950s.

He's now retired (I think he's about 80 yo) but he's absolutely mobbed when he visits Albania!

He's invited to dinner by the Head of State, mobbed by thousands at the airport and so on...

Actualy he's a very nice bloke and he says that he's always bemused at his welcome when he goes there.

The reason is that when Albania was following the Chinese line of Communism his were the only western films that were allowed in the country being completely innocent and devoid of any malice - as well as being very funny. So two generations have grown up on a diet of Norman Wisdom...

Actually if you only know Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) from his movie, then I can perhaps sympathize. But he had at least two t,v. series ( Black Adder and The Thin Blue Line) in which his true humour shines through. The man can be very funny!!
