CBS anchor Norah O'Donnell asked Mr Flake if he thought Mr Trump should be removed from office.
Trump critic Flake rebukes president as he says he won't seek new term
“You seem to be igniting a movement,” Ms O'Donnell said. “You write, it is time to take a stand against Trump. If he is dangerous to democracy, as you say, should he be removed from office?”
Mr Flake responded: “I don't think any of those remedies are justified, I really don't. High crimes, misdemeanours, people talk about impeachment on the left, I don't think that's the direction to go. Nor do I think the 25th amendment is either.”

Moderate Republicans, Conservatives, and assorted versions of Republican-,The Freedom Brothers, The Tea Bags, The Perverts Posing as Religious Fanatics, The Crazy Outlaws, all have a good reason to kiss and lick Emperor Carrot's slippers. The purse-strings are held by gargantuan international corporations, with interests in every state. Massachusetts, the thorn in the side of the GOP, has prudently installed Republican figure-heads. Communication lines must be kept open to the opposition, if Boston business is to flourish. Our Elizabeth Warren clone was cut down before she could flower, thanks to the men that sucked the money pipe cock from out of state. Where did the pressure originate, that forced them to bend their necks and open their mouths ? Campaigns are not cheap.
Jeff Flake is willing to squawk in public, but he will not put his head on the chopping block,by suggesting that Emperor Carrot's head should lie on the chopping block.
There is a revolving door leading from all government jobs. He would be killing his connection from the pipeline of resources, if he cut himself off from the Republican network.
