I've logged on a few times tonight, read most of the threads, and I haven't posted a thing. It's been like that for a few nights now. I can't explain it. It's not that I don't have anything to say, it's more like I don't want to say anything. I don't think that makes any sense but that is the situation. I'm typing this as I go (except for the typos which I'm trying to fix as I go) so I only discovered that last part after I wrote it. So it actually could be wrong, I'll only know after I analyze it.

This whole thing reminded me of an exercise I use to do in school. An English teacher had us write non stop for five (or maybe it was three) minutes. Just write whatever comes to mind.

Bizarre. As soon as I wrote that my mind went blank.:)

I forget what we called the exercise but it had some name that made sense. anyway, what was i going to say, just rambling now, waiting for the next idea. I think it... oh yeah, I was wondering whether I would post this or delete it. That was it.

I just wrote out a reply but deleted it all...Im to tired and my thoughts are really random

Stream of consciousness exercises are always fun. And if you don't know what you're gonna say before you say it, there's always a chance you'll say it before you're done.

I'm done.

Damn.

I woulda like to have read that.

This is perfect though... a thread just for us lurkers....

we could just post to say we are here but haven't thought of the right thing to say yet so people will know we are around...

I like it! It is me on most nights.

I so agree! I do have things to say, its just, I can't seem to put them anywhere and I'm too lazy to start a new thread.

At this rate, I'm never going to make 100 posts.

The best way I found to make 100 posts is to play the "something new and different " thread of word association.

Once you get an AV it becomes easier for people to respond to you in my opinion and you feel safer venturing out.

I love those kinds of paradoxes...

Like the meeting for loners...

and the association for the promotion of apathy...

and the ambivilence workshop...

(sigh) Anyway...

Does it matter if you post or not?
It's all meaningless.

Yup, me too. I keep logging on for a moment, browsing, hitting the little red x up there.

I think I have too much on my mind. Pfft.

I'm going to go veg out on the t.v.

Have fun y'all.

I can lurk with the best of them.

Now posting, that's entirely different.

More often than not, I think of posting on a thread but then just read it and back out without reply.

wow. I so thought this thread would've disappeared. It seemed like such a stupid thread to start but I'm glad some of you are enjoying it.:) And I like the idea of of just stopping in to say whatever when in 'lurking' mode. Just goes to show that you never know what may become of soemthing you first deam(sp?) irrelevent.

Somehow I don't think my mountain biking thread is doing this well though.:) It wasn't even getting views the last time I looked.

Guess we're not an active bunch slowhand. Who'da thunkit?

LoL

Ya, somehow 'getting away fromit all' and 'the internet' don't seem to go hand in hand.:)

I've been in lurking mode for days. I just don't understand why I can read and read and read, and I want to say something, and I often start replies, and then decide that what I was gonna say is stupid, and then I delete it all.

Totally in stream of consciousness right now, I'm not even looking at the screen. I'm staring at this point on the wall behind my monitor, and I think there's a ding in the paint there. That, or maybe a bug's been killed there at some point. I dunno. I played badminton tonight with honey. Second night in a row. I'm getting badminton elbow. It sucks. But I have a job interview tomorrow, and that makes everything better. I hope I get it. :) Would be a very cool job, I think. Working at a wine store. I'd love to learn all I could about the store.. I'd feel so cultured. Some guy might come in and say he's got a date, and he's cooking chicken, and I'd be able to recommend a great wine. I can't wait until I know all that stuff.

wait. I have to get the job first.

Vixenshe

You've got the job. Now all you've got to do is tie up the loose ends.

and btw, I have a date on Saturday and I'm going to be cooking up some hot dogs. You got anything?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I so want to impress this girl.

If you need a letter of reference for tomorrow let me know. You have been a great help.

*giggle*
Yes, I actually giggled.

*covers my face in shame*

gawd, I'm such a girl.

Now, now, there's no reason to feel shame. Sure you lost it for a second and acted like a silly child but (whoa!! Deja vu) you used some french up above so that nullifies any giggling. Well, maybe not. Hide your face girly!!

:p

hmm....

I've lurked for awhile. Most times I don't really have anything relevant to say. Seems like nobody really responds or takes you seriously until you get to like 1000 posts or something. Oh well, I'll just keep on chugging along.
