I think so too...though if Vargas just wades in and hammers Oscar, he may be able to knock him down. Not out, but down. Fernando's so uneven, he can't keep his emotions & personal life from screwing with his concentration, and his confidence is easily blown by the slightest thing. That said, he's got a lot of power, and he doesn't quit. Plus, Oscar's come up two or three weight classes in the past few years, whereas Vargas is at his natural weight.

Vargas is a way more interesting fighter to watch. De La Hoya is a boring fighter because he, like Roy Jones & Lennox Lewis, won't take chances. Vargas take chances, which means he gets hit.

If Vargas would grow up and learn to concentrate on boxing, I think he's got the power and speed to be great. But I think De La Hoya may take this fight.

But anything can happen.
