This may be the final straw in the ongoing battle between Milo and Jack Dorsey’s Twitter Trust and Safety Council. Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos may get banned from the social network for real this time — not for expressing controversial political opinions but for fanning the flames of a rather shameful campaign of racial abuse on Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones.

Milo has been at odds with Twitter for years, first losing his verification mark, then getting temporarily suspended in the wake of the Orlando shooting.

This most recent ordeal began when Jones started retweeting racist harassment she received on Twitter. Jones’ probably unwise act of feeding the trolls only incentivized more of them to send abuse just to gain the distinction of getting retweeted by a celebrity. The trolls then began doctoring images of Jones’ tweets to make it seems as if she were writing racist and homophobic statements.

Eventually Milo entered the fray, activating his horde of alt-right edgelords.

I don't see where he called for anyone to harass Leslie Jones but he did make quite an epic idiot of himself on Twitter.

Ghostbusters is a failure and it will not make its production money back. The WORLD has spoken, this movie only made $63 million worldwide. It's going to have a gargantuan dropoff next week. But Ghostbusters failed entirely on how they shit on Leslie Jones's character by making her into the embodiment of every negative black woman stereotype. Leslie Jones herself didn't deserve all the shit she got.

Milo's gonna learn where he went wrong one day when his conservative buddies turn on his gay ass.

Yup, he's fucking out. Technically he didn't threaten anyone but I can't shed a single tear for his ass. He picked a fight with a woman who was already being bullied, she didn't provoke this shit, so you know, don't start none, won't be none.

On the other hand, #FreeMilo users were posting numerous examples of severe rule-breaking by other users whom Twitter never banned despite people reporting them.

I'm not in support of re-instating Milo, he had this one coming. But I am in favor of pressuring Twitter to ban these users as well.
