Oh, shit, I remember every damned one of 'em, (not exaggerating). Remembering brought back some nice feelings though. Thanks.

hey shy...you're not supposed to remember too many of these unless you heard some old farts talking about them...

by the way, they still make blackjack gum which is licorice flavored and it's something that is far better as a memory than as a reality...it sucks...

That was good.............I recall all but a few.I was young but one I don't recall was 35 cent gas..............

This is making me feel pretty fucking old. I lived during about 20.

Ouch.. I remember 26 of them...

I remember my mom stopping at the gas station here in town and asking for a dollars worth...

How about Johnny West? His wife Jane?

Dick and Jane? Puff and Spot?

Oh my god... I'm frightening myself...

Surprisingly, in my tender two and twenty years on this earth, I've seen candy cigarettes once, 45 (and even 72) RPM records, spud guns, tinker toys, erector sets, and one drive-in that survived the ice age. I remember telephone prefixes only from Pennsylvania 65000, and I think I saw glass bottles in a soda machine in Africa.

18. beanie and cecil (one of the best cartoons ever)
"I'm coming, Beany boy"

And I rememeber the whole crowd scraping together 28 cents to buy a gallon of gas.

groovy

spud guns
studebakers
wash tub wringers

though it would be easier to point out which one's I haven't experienced...

Help Cecil, help...

I'mmm coming Beanie boy...

Ah, I remember those and:
Gas for 29 cent and a pack of cigarettes cost the same as the gas.
When there was a cent sign on the typewriter keyboard.
Black and White TV and no cable.
An ounce of pot cost $10 and a really good one $15.
Pick up and delivery of your dry cleaning.
No available birth control for women.
No panty hose. You had to wear a garter belt.
Dress codes at school.
Bell bottom pants with short tops - the first time.

Good old days?

I have had or seen every last one. My gasoline rememberences actually started at 16 cents per gallon, but it was a price war. Normal price was 21 cents per gallon.

Hmmmmmm, on second thought. Nope, narry a one.

I remember most of these things....I'm 28, and I think alot fo them enjoyed a retro reimergence in my younger years, though.

Like skate keys.....skates didn't need keys when I was young but some of them had them anyway.

Who remebers 'Stretch Armstrong'? I loved that toy......until I opunctured him with an umbrella tip.

For that matter who remembers when umbrellas had sharp metal tips and were long enough, and designed, to be used as a walking stick?
