I Don't Think We're in Kansas Anymore, or thoughts on the new look

It'll take some getting used to, but I like how it now shows if a person is online.

I feel like I've come home and found that someone new's moved into my house and thrown all my stuff away.

I like my new age though. How the hell did that happen?

I'm with you Doc. Lit's become a fountain of youth. If this keeps up I may be the only guy born before 8-tracks and Watergate who can't buy beer.

Any way we can increase the size of the font?

I'm using the vbulletin 3 skin, which is the closest I can come to the old look.

If you go all he way down to the bottom of this page, you'll see a drop-down box on the lower left. All those are "skins", or graphic envirnments. You can fool around with those till you find something you can stand.

And now that I've changed the skin, I see it knocked a few years off my age. . . .

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :nana:

Great!! That worked and I can actually see my posts instead of scrolling to the right. Thanks.

On your browser toolbar, click "View" and go down to "font size" Default is medium so you can change it either direction.

I don't mind being 8 years younger!
I noticed that some don't show an age. At first I thought it was because in the birthday section of the User CP profile section, they didn't enter a year. I went back and found that I hadn't either. But still, Lit shows my age as 33.
I wouldn't mind being 33 again, no teenagers!

I know what you mean. I just came online and everything is different. I feel like I'm not really home but in another person's house.

I guess I'll have to adapt.

Any opinions on Manu's handiwork?

But I AM still in Kansas!

(Perhaps I should be on the lookout for the twister?)

Okay, I haven't tried it yet, but if it works it is a vera, vera cool thing.

In your PM section, there are options to download your PM's. At least, I think that's what it's all about. That way we won't need 91 different threads telling Colly to work on her box!

:D

Wow, maybe they could post bra and dick size. Be a larf cos we'd all lie ;)

Perdita (thanks for the tip Mab., now I can read without squinting.)

the age is a known bug thing..manus working on fixing it :) (check site anouncements)

As I understood it, the ages are all defaulting to the first number in your range.

My range is 27 to 32 (I believe) therefore it's got me at 27. I actually am 27, but Minsue's 28 and it's got her age posted as 27. Anyone know if the age number will remain even if you delete your birth year?

Also, has anyone tried the download PM feature yet? Be nice if I could save a few straight from here without copy & pasting them all.

I've deleted my year (which acording to hubster should get rid of it) but i still have my age there *L* it'll be fixed in due course...I think it shows your age when you joined up??? well mine seems to I think....

Oh my goodness! I'm a trained change management consultant if anyone needs help coping with the transition -- you know mourning the loss of the old, before being able to move on, it'll probably entail group hugs and a weekend retreat -- I'm booking myself in pronto-- it feels strange! :)

The posting box is thankfully a whole lot bigger on Firefox than it was, it's clean and easy to use ...I think I like it. Does feel like I'm somewhere else and I don't know where that somewhere is, thankfully there are some familiar and friendly faces.
