I'm really tired of people who don't even know yayati feeling that they can do yayati bashing at will around here for no good reason.
CB has a reason to bash him.
DCL does.
Muff does.
Chey does.
PC does.
Edited to add Siren and Laurel to this list because they both need to be here.
There are those who do.
Those to whom he's directed spite and malice and just plain craziness, they all have a reason to fling nasty words back to him.
Most do not.
Most do it just to try to be cool.
Especially the newer people.
There suddenly seem to be a lot of people here who think it makes them instantly cool to do a little yayati-bashing. They think that if they hurry and get 100 posts, and then post a caricature of yayati's av, they'll be cool. They think that if they start threads with a mangling of his nick, they'll be cool.

Yayati has been around for a year. Mostly, apparently, he's content to be a cartoon figure here. Mostly he's earned that status. But not always - and certainly not as a matter of course by people who don't know him, don't have any idea of who he is and what permutations of self he's gone through in his time here.
I don't give a flying fuck who this offends, quite frankly. I'd be as vocal about protecting anyone who was being unfairly bashed around here by those who didn't have clue why or who they were bashing. The fact that it's yayati doesn't mean jack to my argument.
If someone, anyone, including yayati, including me, has done you wrong - protect yourself.
If someone, anyone, including yayati, including me, has done your friend wrong - protect your friend.
However, being a mindless mooing member of the herd and flinging insults at someone you don't even know, someone who has done you no wrong, done no wrong to your friends - just to try to be fucking cool - well, that's offensive in and of itself.
All the yayati-bashing by people who don't even know him has gotten really boring.
Find something else to moo about for awhile.
