Oh Amelia, the fact that you think I look kissable in that picture totally makes my day!

We had a huge storm earlier, too. Lots of branches came down and it flooded. It's always exciting here when it rains-- a few years back people were rowing johnboats down the streets after a super hard rain. I get a little grumpy when it storms because it impinges on my internet shenanigans, but it's nice to turn all the lights out, light candles and listen to the drumming on the roof. I forget to enjoy things like that sometimes, so perhaps the threat to my computer is a good thing.

I haven't slept yet, and I probably won't for a while. I really like being awake this time of night. I have two kitties sleeping in the bed on either side of me, good music is on, and I'm so content. I have been reading some of my favorite poems to post on the poetry thread, and it's bringing back many good memories.

Aside from that, I'm thinking about making some soup-- Progresso Chicken and Rice. Yummy rainy night food.

i haven't played in a long time, but it's a game i enjoy. i love all kinds of board games. i don't play a lot because i'm very competitve and i hate to be a bad sport. i'm becoming like my sister. she won't play unless she's sure she can win!

well..ok..i'm not that bad. i'm feeling in an artsy mood. i think i may write some poetry. the poetry i write is very bad and self-indulgent. sometimes when i write...i picture myself in a beret..in paris..living a different life.
