Hopefully, it'll go over well, but something tells me people will get pissed when they see a 14,000 plus word submission with the graphic sex not starting until beyond the halfway point. Oh well, at least it's a forward step. I was beginning to feel like a tourist around here, with everyone else writing and submitting and me just hanging out here now and then and not actually submitting anything.

I felt very pleased with myself for submitting a story after a dry spell of two years. I know how nice it feels to get the flow again. And like you, the unblocking process produced a rather painful, large, hard lump of a Lit. story -- 12,000 words in my case.

Don't get impatient waiting for your story to be posted, QC. Right now, it's taking approximately 99 forevers for a story to get out of "pending purgatory." I'm not sure why. The NEW list is only four pages long (it's usually seven) so it wouldn't seem to be a case of being swamped with submissions.

Congrats, QC, on being a contributing writer again. If it's classified as a romance, don't worry about a story being 14,000 words long with the graphic sex at the last half. I have posted two such stories, both between ten and twenty thousand words and both with the smut in the last third, and not even any juicy hints earlier. Neither one attracted many viewers but those who voted were quite generous and both stories are sporting the coveted red H. (If you are a troll, I didn't say that.)

I submitted a story almost a week ago and it is still pending.
