I did it!! (Eyebrow pierced)

Went the other day and got my eyebrow pierced. It's still a little weird, but I really like it! Only hurt a little bit and never bled. This could be addicting!!

I won't bore any of you with the details, but if you have questions, just let me know.

It probably hurt a little less than getting my ears done (only once each...so far). Did the navel about a year ago. I'm thinking that I might get my daith done next. That's the somewhat horizontal portion going across the middle of the ear. After that, who knows?? I'm thinking that I may want to try getting my nipples done or even some genital piercing.

So how many more in your ear?

I am thinking of 2 more in each ear.. I havn't decided yet.
one day (when I have the body for it) I will get my navel done. I am far too gutless for anything else though. genitals? no way!
what about your tongue Sonora?.. I hear it heals quick

Laurel, it really only hurt for about 5 seconds and I've had many bumps and bruises that hurt much more. It didn't hurt near as much as my ears did. And they really didn't hurt.

Firesprite, I'm not sure about genital piercing. Like I said (must have been in another thread) I have to work my way up (or down) to that.

When I told my dad he said at least it wasn't your lip or your tongue. I've heard that the tongue will heal quickly because of the blood flow in the tongue. I've also heard that it gets infected easily and there is a lot of care involved because of food ans stuff.

As a proud bearer of twelve piercings (I'm addicted to the adrenaline rush, what can I say!), I can tell you that the tongue is definitely the most painless and the easiest one to heal... as long as you rinse with Listerine after every meal, you should be fine... your stomach, on the other hand, might be hurtin' a bit All you can eat for a few days is Taco Bell bean burritos cuz you don't have to chew... just swallow!

And if you're looking for another fun piercing... do your nipples. They look nice, feel nice (after healing, of course), and there is hardly any pain. Makes 'em ever so sensitive!

I'm also thinking about a genital piercing. Probably the hood. If I do I'll let you know

12! I've only got 4. Guess I've got a long way to go to catch up to you, SR!! Be sure to let us know about getting your hood done. I need to know how much it might hurt. My other concern is how long before I could get back on my bike. I'm thinking that may have to be a winter piercing to allow for complete healing.

Did you know?

Apparently piercings in the eyebrow actually grow themselves out. The "wound" never really heals and the flap of skin that the piercing is attached to gets thinner and thinner until the piercing simply removes itself from the face. It doesn't do you any harm or scarring or anything but it does mean you'll have to get it done again after a while.

To those of you scared to do it - don't be. The pain is ever so slight and literally lasts for about 3 seconds. Also, there is no need to worry about the lasting effect on your face as the hole covers itself up pretty quickly after you remove the piercing.

I've had both nostrils done at one time or another and there is absolutely nothing to show for it now (unless you look really really close with a magnifying glass).
