I CANT leave my house!!!!

Well damn, I guess it is too late to get you to come over here for Vday. We are only expecting snow.

EE

that really sucks, they say its going to get down here tonight, can't hardly wait!!!

EE, where in Iowa do you live? Here in Omaha we're due to get that ice/snow storm this afternoon. Hope it's not as bad as you're getting it.

If you do manage to get out, be careful out there.

All it's doing right now is raining. The weather guy says we're in for ice and 3-5 inches of snow. I hope it holds off until school gets out. I'm supposed to go to my daughter's V-Day party.

Well, at least you don't have to worry about getting the kids home from school. I worry too much about people that have drive in bad weather.

Ugh ice huh? Dammit, we actually got a sitter and planned on going out tonight.

Ice storm, stranded at home. How will I get the kids Valentines that I ordered picked up?

Oh, we have about 1/4+ of ice on everything, expecting about 1/2 inch. Womdering if electric lines will snap?

That is too bad, I hope everything clears up as the day goes. It is the pits to be stranded by weather.

Pictures of the Ice Storm that hit Rochester in 1991. It was pretty but it was fucking hell (Aside from the fact that I got to miss school for two weeks)

Rochester is a fairly large urban area. If you're starting to look anything like this it won't be pleasant, stock up on stuff if you're able.

The day before this happened it was 50 something degrees and sunny and nobody knew it was coming. We woke up and everything was covered in ice and we were heat and powerless for over two weeks with no emergency supplies.

I remembet hat storm

Actually, I lived out there about an hour from you at that time.

I used to live upstate also:)

I thought it was great until I realized I couldn't take a shower.

I was about 12 or 13 at the time, so I don't remember much except the foot of ice covering our front steps, no school for two weeks and no power for longer.

And the pics that my mom has. :D

lol, I was about 16, no school for about a week or so. We had well water and didnt lose that.

I remember it bieng a great time!!

So cool. I've told people about this before (online) and nobody really -got- it til now. :)

so i'm guessing that a central texas country boy could get a severe ass whippin' if he started braggin' about sitting in his living room in a t-shirt, bare footed and with all the doors and windows open so i'm just not gonna do it.:D

bye the way, be careful.
