it's tastefully done (the flag-raising firefighters), I'm encouraged to wear it to work tomorrow, it was in my size, and $4.99 . . .

I didn't even think until I got home to check the tag. It was made in Honduras.

honey, your PM box is full...

and that's kinda sick that the 9/11 shirt was made in honduras. Some OTHER country is capitalizing off of the 9/11 horrors.

I'm vastly resisting the urge to express myself until a definite emotion wins out. I believe my current response to this however would be "BLAERGH!".

Either that or the US is making hondurans slaves because of 9/11

Well, let's not forget the rash of American Flag pins made in China, or the flags from Thailand.

I guess I like that better than our country capitalizing off of 9/11.

Consider that the tag might read:

Made in Honduras
From American cotton
Processed on American looms
Sewn together with American machines
And shipped back on American barges

I'm not sure how I feel about it, either.

A new twist to the story:

The design of my T-shirt is being used as an advertisement of, by all things, the United States Postal Service.

You can see it for yourself on page 10A of today's USA Today.

Huh.

It's on their website, too.

It's the picture on the far right of the page. On the shirt, it's set against a dark blue background.
