I am Thankful for..

..positive thoughts please .

I'm sure we've all got something to be thankful and grateful for in our lives, no matter how tough times might be for some of us.

Tonight, after one of the longest weekends of my life I'm thankful that my cousin made it through his second operation to repair a bleed on the brain. My family is in the middle of a bunch of health crisis with two suffering from cancers diagnosed only in the last month or so, so this mans collapse at the end of the week petrified us, upset us and left us questioning why.

So I'm very thankful to the gifted hands of the doctor and staff, and God that my childhood friend and one of my dearest relatives is going to pull through after one failed surgery yesterday and an eventual successful surgery today.

I have a list of things, even now.

I am thankful for the return of my child, thankful for my family, thankful that I have kept the same job in this suck ass economy for almost five years. I am thankful that I can afford to buy my kidlets Christmas. Thankful that my bills are all paid. Thankful that I am mostly healthy.

I am thankful that I have good friends. Thankful that I still have love. I am eternally thankful for the strength others let me borrow and thankful that I am still here to BE thankful.

I'm overwhelming blessed with a little brother who I just took ice-skating and who just kicked my ass in wii. He is a blessing, huge one... he's taller than me now!

I'm thankful that after the first of the new cut backs and increased taxes the first day of the Governments budget, that while things will be tight, we'll keep our head above water. I'm thankful, and God forgive me for saying it, that we're not one of the families that are very worried tonight as to how they'll make ends meet. For now, we're good, and most of those in my family.
