Look what they did!

A COLD FRONT...APPROACHING THE AREA FROM THE NORTHWEST...WILL BRING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KANSAS THIS MORNING. BY AFTERNOON...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO BE LIKELY OVER EAST CENTRAL KANSAS.

What the fuck? I mean what the ever lasting fuck?!?!?!

These people have college degrees you would think! Look at all those fucking ellipses! A cold front...approaching the area just holy crap. What the hell is wrong with A cold front approaching the area . . . ?

That's it. I've had all I can stand and I can't stand no more. I'm writing my congresspeople.

What's wrong with these people? Can someone please tell me?

Maybe they're still using teletype. . .
Remember, where every line was coded with an "end-of-line" symbol. . .
Like three periods. . .

(Just a theory. Fuck, I'm old.)

But even if that's true, you should write your Congressional delegation, 'cause they should have. . .updated equipment.

they have the perky disease...
maybe:D

sorry muffie

That's ALMOST as bad as advertisers who can't spell or use proper grammar.

Has grammar become a lost art?

Lol I think so! There is almost nothing worse than seeing an ad spelled wrong, or that uses improper grammar. (Checks her post very carefully before hitting submit.)

LOL Don't you hate that? You ramble on and on about bad spelling and grammar and you're thinking "Oh oh, if I spelled anything incorrectly (note the use of the adverb?) in this post, I'm REALLY going to look like an ass!"

George Carlin got it right--

Tonight's forecast-dark
Continued mostly dark tonight
Turning to widely scattered light in the morning!

Today's forecast...Sunny..High in the mid-80s...With the wind out of the North at 330 miles an hour...So bundle up...But wear your sunglasses.

I would like to have the sort of job where you only really have to explain why you were wrong yesterday, not actually do anything today but guess about the future. If I could be wrong that often I'd be content to work for their paycheck, too.

I once worked for a former weatherman. He was not the worst idiot I've worked for, but he was damned close to it. Few things in life were so satisfying as to hear from HIS supervisor a year after leaving that I had been correct in my assessment of the weatherman, and that they'd asked him to leave.

Weathermen just don't have any standards of accountability, they're guessing. Hell, with time-lapse photography I can do as good a job predicting weather as they do, but I don't spend 8 hours working up to it, I watch the loop, engage the brain, and get on with life.

I had a friend who worked in weather. Private companies bid for the contracts and get large bonuses if they are correct. The Marts, use weather forcasters to determine when to move seasonal items in. So much of it is done by computers and graphics but a person is at the helm interpreting the data and making the guesses.

As for the ellipses Killer Muffin, they are there for decoration.

They type like bored1 used to type before I could not stand it anymore and told him to stop.

So the bonuses, were, few and far, between?
