But, at least the freezie pops are delicious and refreshing, right?

Yes, they are awesome I am addicted. I think I need help. How many freezie pops is too many:confused:

I have my ac right next to where I sit at my computer- it's a beautiful thing. The only problems are that sometimes I get too cold and I have to shut it off, and it's really loud. I would definitely take the noise over the heat though.

Cum to Texas some time, it's real hot and humid here! Well you know that don't you?

Dilly,

You should ADORE Houston then. We must be the AC capitol of the world. Air conditioned houses, air conditioned cars, air conditioned sidewalks from garage to office building and if you really don't like it outside, the whole of downtown is connected with underground (air conditioned) sidewalks/tunnels. Home of the first enclosed shopping mall (air conditioned) and don't forget the first domed stadium (oh yeah, you guessed it .... air conditioned).

Oooh Ill have to try that!

The power went off for over an hour here, and I was in a total panic. Temperature with the humidex is 44 celcius.

No fans, no a/c, food's going to rot, beer's gonna get warm, kids are whining.

Moments before I had a complete emotional breakdown, everything came back on. Oh man how did people survive without electricity back in the day?

You should try Hong Kong. A building there without air conditioning doesn't exist. Then again, it's so humid that it's pretty much a necessity!

For those without air conditioning I remember very well what that was like. The worst was when I was in Graduate school in Phoenix - and staying with a friend in his trailer for the summer. 110... 115 degree days - no AC AND no swamp cooler - I spent most of my time in the school library and in various bars and restaurants - but even at night - just there to sleep - it was miserable.

oh I'm in love with it too!!!!

The pool is at 92, so no confort there.

Trying to find weather in F instead of Celcius

92 F and 115 F with humidity

83°F

Fair Feels Like
91°F

UV Index: 0 Minimal

Dew Point: 77°F

Humidity: 82%

Visibility: Unlimited miles

Pressure: 29.84 inches and rising

Wind: From the West Southwest at 5 mph

Translation: DAMN HOT!!!!!!

I really dislike the "Feels LIke" Index

Who thought that up, anyway? What's the purpose, except to make people more miserable than they already are? It's 100, but FEELS LIKE 120 Who CARES?????? It's just HOT!

It only got to the mid-90's here today, but I love my A/C, too. I'd be one cranky bitch without it.

Aren't you glad this weather wasn't around LAST week when you were on vacation? Unless you had airconditioning - where I go to fish, there is no such thing. Weather like this would be horrible.

Well - the reason I love AC is because it keeps me nice and cool. I'm not sure I want to venture into even hotter climes just to test the limits of AC's ability to do so!

I wonder if now is the time to mention that on the sand in Newport Beach today is 75 degrees. There is a light breeze blowing. Hardly enough to move the sand, but still feels nice on one's face and body.

The sky is deep blue and an occasional white "puffy" floats over the horizon.

Something about beach cities in Cali, isn't there?
