Just my opinion, but if I am correct you recently posted a thread about how you would be returning back to school , so hence you would be moving from his place to your housing.

Maybe this is the reason he is acting a bit odd , because a part of him is sad/angry that you are leaving , and even though odds are he is very happy you are continuning your education he is sad that you will be away from him. This in turn could be his way of dealing with your departure .... maybe??
