Seriously, too.

This is regarding the use of colors in posting. Please don't write interesting posts and use the blue, lime green, yellow, or red colors in them. I cannot handle these colors.

I hate to bring this up, but this is a serious problem for me. I have epilepsy and these colors make me have seizures. I have the one person who persists in using these colors on ignore, but this person insists on creating new personalities and posting as unregistered. This person obviously does not care about me and my little problem even though I've brought it up to him/her/whatever.

I have turned off avs and signature lines because the use of colors. The only recourse for me as far as colors in posts is to not open them. I cannot tell without opening a thread what kind of colors the posters have chosen to use so opening a thread is a toss up on whether or not I'll have a seizure. This isn't a big deal as far as things go, it's not like I can't see, can't walk, can't hear, or I am doing anything for world peace. However, it is a big deal for me to enjoy this board and my health at the same time.

I am currently putting anyone who uses these colors on ignore. If I don't respond to your posts, this is why. The list is growing. I only put people who use bright colors on ignore. It bothers me that I now have seven different people on ignore.

KillerMuffin cannot read bright colors on a screen.

Please.

*sighs* I wish.

I'm one of those people that never asks for help and here I am doing it anyway.

*sighs*

Black and white from now on hon. Html tags are a pain anyway. Color is for wussies...veiled pleas for attention from insecure people.

I can still use fancy fonts, right?

I never knew that. I won't use colors in my posts from here on out.

Thank you for the information. I'll do my part. :)

Noted. Thinking adjusted - most recent post, too.

Perhaps adjustments to your monitor and/or video so that it is forced to run in gray-scale would be possible.

that's fare enought killer muffin,
I rarly use colours myself but if i do i'll keep in mind the bright colours, I've a simaler problem but not savier.
and ignore that unregistered asshole.

*puts away the crayons*

I should have thought about that too. My best friend was epileptic. Sorry MissMuffin.

I've only occasionally used colors; now i'll stop altogether.
You shoulda mentioned it sooner, babes.
You, uh, can take me off ignore now.

Black and white it is!

When I began reading your thread my first reaction was to reply with all the colours of the rainbow until I got to where you explained the reason why.

I wouldn't do that to you, Muffie, so it's monochrome from now on!

That's the bright colors, not dull ones. Some days are worse than others. Today seems to be a bad day. Silver, gray, dark blue, dark green, these don't seem to be a problem. It's funny, really. I would have thought that the computer itself would be a problem, but it's not.

Thank you guys, I really do appreciate this.

I swear it must've been gremlins

I only posted the once but somehow it repeated itself. There are mysterious goings on here!

KM...please put me on ignore. I feel I may inadvertently use a color and I would not like to be responsible,

thank you,
modest mouse

sorry to hear that KM

I will make every attempt to avoid bright colors..

*writes a note and posts it on her monitor*

There are people writing interesting posts using colored text? I must be missing those...

Ah, thanks! :) You're pretty cute yourself.

Hey...waitaminute..."sometimes"?

Okay, okay, Laurel.
Remove the word "interesting".
Geeze.
Some people are downright anal about definitions...
;)

I've never used colors and will not now. I completely understand and sympathize, KM. I have killer fucking allergies. Certain perfums can literally make me sneeze for hours.

Hey, I don't know what you look like when you wake up in the morning.

Or when you have different hairstyles! Silly! ;)

Done... no colours other than B&W.

We could go one better and maybe PM you with warnings on colored posts... ? Just a thought.
