are they trying to prove every steriotype?

Hey....thanks Todd! I don't know how to do that yet!!!

Question 6:
Why was the theme Children at Play selected?

Answer: The subject matter on the back of the $5 note celebrates Children at Play, recognizing that young Canadians are the future of our nation and that play is a healthy part of their physical, social, and cultural development. Images of youngsters having fun tobogganing, learning to skate, and playing ice hockey capture the spirit and beauty of the Canadian winter. Against a background of snowflakes, excerpts from Roch Carrier's book, Le Chandail de hockey,* and its English adaptation by Sheila Fischman, The Hockey Sweater, evoke memories of childhood.
* Le Chandail de hockey was published by Éditions Alain Stanké; the English adaptation was published by House of Anansi Press.

Roch Carrier's book, Le Chandail de hockey, and its English adaptation by Sheila Fischman, The Hockey Sweater

I remember that book! How the kid's mom orders him a hockey jersey from the catalogue, but it's a Maple Leafs jersey instead of a Canadiens, and how disappointed he is... and the kids mock him... and he has to go pray about it... I don't really remember the end, though.
Anyone else?

I am so torn with our money! It is nice...not typical.....but hockey...on our currency???

The story goes......

I'm not sure which is the next one to change....or when they'll introduce it.

LMAO! You beat me Todd! Had to take a call and didn't even check to see if anyone else had replied.

Too slow today! :)

So does this mean they're not gonna weigh down our pockets with five dollar coins, then?!?!

Is that Peter Mannsbridge on the front?

*LMAO* No, no, Sir John A. McDonald. No wait, that's the $10 bill. $5 is... William L. Mackenzie?

That's Sir Wilfrid Laurier. P.M. in 1911., or there-a-bouts.
There's a university in Waterloo named for him.
