And Since The 'Powerball' Cheat It Has Become Out Of Hand!:D

Anybody Ever Play These Tycoon Games?

And Any Information About Everquest, Moter City Online, Or Max Payne Would Be Most Appreciated! Thinking Of Selling Off These Stupid SIMS And Purchasing A Coupla REAL Games.

And If Ya'll Hate These Games, Then Please Do Tell What Yer Favorite Game Is!:D

CivilizationI & III are my favorites.. I'm sure I'd like railroad tycoon, too.

Pardon me for asking,

Beauty,

but don't you live a little far north to be saying Y'all ?

Railroad Tycoon is awesome ain't it? I love playing with my "toy trains"

Civ III is good.

I've played Everquest and....I dunno. Mixed feeling here I guess. I liked it, but Felt bad paying for a game once a month. I met some nice people there, but then I spent a lot of time by myself in an online world.

I think if I had the time to spend justifying 22 bucks a month (CDN dollars) I'd prolly play it again though

Warcraft III is pretty sweet as well.

Railroad Tycoon wasn't bad ( guess it was "RT I" I played )

I liked to play Civ II

And I'm curious if there's an online version of "Risk"

My top few games of the last few years:
Dungeon Keeper, Diablo II, Creatures 2, Creatures 3, Black & White, Caesar III.

Some oldies that I loved: Master of Magic, Betrayal at Krondor (which you can probably still download for free, somewhere), Ultima Underworld, Leisure Suit Larry series, Castles II.

Years ago, I loved that Spellcasting 101. It's a text adventure with a series of puzzles and still pictures. I rather enjoyed it, but I don't know where to get a copy, anymore. Those older games are quickly becoming collectors items in their own right.

Long Neck! Man!

Text Based Games Rule The Freaking Puter World! LOL

All The Zorks, Enchanter,Planetfall...On And On! Great Games That Infocom Put Out There:D

Diablo II Is Great, But I Go Ta The Internet Cafe Ta Play That With My Friends.

Anybody Know If They Make 'Resident Evil' For The PC?

Planetfall is one of the few of those text-adventure games that I finished. Do you know that you can create your own text-adventure (interactive fiction) games rather easily with a minimum of programming? Check out keywords "Inform," "Frotz," "WinFrotz," "Hugo."

YOu drive around listening to 80's music. You then break the law. Cops come after you. You kill the cops. You kill innocent bystanders, you kill whoever you want, gangs, rent-a-cops, old ladies.

Fun for the whole family.

You should try Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. It allows you to build and run your own theme park and you can even design and build the rollercoasters. I'm very addicted to this game.

Like several others here, I have an ongoing fascination with Civ III, though I also very much enjoyed I & II in their time. Just when I think I have it all figured out, I'll have a new insight, and a whole new way of doing things that is fun to try out. I like to play for an early win at the Emporer level, and while my best so far is 850 AD and a score of a little over 8,000, I am convinced that 690 is possible without unreasonable luck. (There are ways of getting the score essentially as high as you have the patience for, but I find those long games to be tedious.) Anyone want to compare notes on strategies?

I'll admit Civilization requires patience, but I used to play it when it was a board game that had 13 parts to a turn. Computerization doesn't just give you something interesting to look at, it does a lot of calculations, too.

I think the allure for Civillization players is that it allows you to turn the tables on the world, and control it, right down to how happy, safe & wealthy the people are, rather than "the world" controlling your life.:rose:

I was a masterful CIV 1 player, never owned II. Still a novice at III.

I think the most succesful CIV I strategy was be the Babylonians ( central capital reduced corruption), build chariots, the Pyramids, & nautical wonders. Conquer quickly.

My hubby has gotten hooked on Railroad Tycoon lately. Guess I can't complain....after all, I'm hooked on Lit!

Rex...love your new av!

I just started playing Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction again, but since Blizzard has been fucking with the realms to do something about all the goddamn Pindlebots, it's hard to stay in a game for more than half an hour, if that. Even when I can get in a game, it's slow and laggy.

I also play Warcraft 3 online.

Currenlty, however, my greatest addiction is Final Fantasy 2j.

RR Tycoon, Civ and AoE are my fav games. If I could find something with a little more depth, and realism but essentially the same RRT, I'd be all over it.

Really looking forward to Star Wars: Galaxies in Jan or Fed though (and a new computer to play it on.)

Rollercoaster Tycoon was great, but I could never get the hang of building rollercoasters. It just took too freaking long.

Are the Civ. games Sid Miers?

Civilization I & Civilization III were, CivII wasn't.

I'll have to admit I enjoyed Elvis as the Cultural Advisor on CIV II, Golden edition.:D

Civ I, II, and III were Sid Meier's games.

Civ II: Call to Power wasn't though.

For anyone who was a fan of Sid Meier's Pirates! , you need to get Sea Dogs...or Sea Dogs II when it comes out.

Try the Master of Orion series.

My best friend is playing the beta of SW: Galaxies, and so far he isn't very impressed. We currently play Dark Age of Camelot, and with the expansion release today, I see good things in the future of DAoC. But then again, the SW: Galaxies is just a beta and is missing many features.

I stand corrected, thanks, Bob.

No problem :) There were 3 Civ II games I believe...only the Sid Meier's one was any good.

If you're a fan of Sid's games, you should give Sid Meier's SimGolf a try...it's a pretty good game also.
