I am a cynic.

I'm told that I'm way to cynical for a 23 year old. I think I've just seen more than I prolly wanted to.

So what if I can't spell ''peek a boo''

Neither can the parents of Peecaboo Streets.

Hey Kitte honey...

I thought you were really a psychic kind-of-gal! :D

Since I admit to being very cynical, very little sounds too cynical to me. :D

ok my latest cynical theory...

I dont beleive that Love as we are taught to think of it really exists. I have come to beleive that when we LOVE someone it is in fact our desire to get something from them, so we give what we must to get that thing.
We grew up believing this fairy tale image of love as the most unselfish thing there is when in fact most love is very selfish indeed.

As a cynic, I agree with you. As an occasional idealist (when I can escape the cynicism) I would like to believe that there is true love for some. In this instance, one's love is unconditional, and is not based on the desire to get anything. Since I haven't actually experienced this, the cynical part of me says it's either romantic BS or a mere urban legend. :(

My vote is it is actually a hopeful myth perpetuated by society and the media. They have held up this myth in the hopes that it will one day be a truth.... :(

It's easy to be cynical.

Try being at least cautiously skeptical.
:)

Until I experience this truth first hand, I will remain cynical.

Today's one of those days where that takes more energy than I have. :(
