For the second time in the last couple of weeks I've stumbled across this... Normally I type 'Literotica.com' into my browser's address line. Twice now, yahoo has jumped in on me and given me the following as an option.

Erotica Fan - selection of the erotic short stories from literotica.com.
www.erotica-fan.com/
More sites about: Erotica > Web Published Fiction

Rather than swamp my own email addresses with probable spam, I wondered if anyone else had come across this site? Is it an affiliation of Literotica?

Hmmm

Never heard of it before love, like you I checked the link, but chose not to sign in, enough bloody spam now.

Have you noticed, no matter how clever you try to be blocking the spammers, they always get through the addy block by adding maybe one digit to a reference number. Should be a law against it.

pops............:D

i have enough to do as it is without causing myself more work eh ;)

a common theme in one of my hotmail addys is:

ywatchitgrowbiggerz@hotmail.com or

bwantanextensiontodayc@hotmail.com

and i didn't even go into one of those kinda sites... oh wait, i did look at some survey about a hundred years ago.... something from a medical site. i wonder if that's where it came from......

anyways, like i have time to watch an extension take growth. rofl and, how can they not know i am woman????? surely these kind of emails are meant for men?

i wondered if anyone had been there and noticed any Litland stories illegally posted...?

Have you pointed Laurel at this site? I doubt tht it's affiliated with Lit, although there are some sites that have permission to use some stories from Lit -- Laurel knows who is and isn't supposed to be using Lit's stories.

No, I didn't want to waste her time as I haven't entered the site myself.

Seeing as how you've suggested it though, I'll send off a message.

Thanks

It doesn't look like the normal story site, to me. It looks like one of those sites that say

FREE FREE FREE"
"NO CREDIT CARD NEEDED!"

Then, you enter your email address, and the next connection you make, you have to enter a credit card number (to prove you are 18 years old, they say). And, if you don't continue, they still have your email address for spam.

I haven't tried it, yet, but I do have the email address to give it for a try. But, it sure does seem like one of "those sites" to me, so I wonder.

Lit has it's share of spam, at times, but nothing like the pop ups this site gave me. Leave it to WSO to find this jewel. :D

that's why i didn't go any further... it wasn't just the spam, it was the credit card thing. sorry i forgot about that. i never feel too safe giving out my credit card number for a site that is 'free'...

it kinda sticks in the craw.

btw i sent off an email to Laurel straight after my previous post here. haven't heard anything as yet.

oh DVS, didn't you know, i hanker after jewels...

;)

If you gave them your valid email address, you could get some spam, soon. WATCH IT!

dear you misunderstood methinks... i have not communicated with the oddball site at all.

i gave them nothing.

thanks for your concern though :)

But, then I'm confused. You said you saw the credit card thing. If you saw the credit card thing, you would have to have given them a valid email address.

Maybe I did misunderstand you, or you misunderstood yourself? OR, we misunderstood each other, which is usually how these post misunderstandings seem to happen.

Anyway, no need to respond to this jibberish unless you want to. It was just your general misunderstanding.

darn, i think i just sat on myself.

how the heck did that happen?

you drive me nuts when you do that! :p

i bet the credit card thing comes before the email thing. i gave them nothing i tell you, N O T H ing.

I don't know how you sat or yourself, unless it is just a KIWI saying. I guy can sit on himself, and let me tell you it ain't fun.

I drive you nuts? What side of the street do you all drive on? That could be the problem.

In answer to your last statement, no, that isn't so. I gave them a fake email and they said I had to respond to that email to continue my FREE registration. That is where I assumed the credit card part comes in.

But, no worries, as you Kiwi and Ausies say...
This is not the end of the world, just a part of it.

Oh, I'm pretty good at spewing out jibberish.

and it's an American site, right?

rofl

btw, i drive on the left... but occasionally have to dodge some who want to drive on the same side as me. progression eh ;)

Oh, by the way...
I would advise NEVER giving out a credit card number to a place like that.

Shit, I have trouble giving out my number to sites I associate with on a regular basis and know where they are, let alone one that I don't even know where they are.

Life is scary enough, without wondering if your money will be there tomorrow.

My sister had her credit info stolen. It happened at where she works. Kind of shitty, but it had to be a co-worker. She knows where her card has been used, and she has never used it on the Internet. Not being much of a card user, she decided someone there got her records from the employee info.

All they did was charge two flights to a city here in the U.S. One ticket for her, and another for a stranger she didn't know. Later, someone called and canceled her ticket, and cashed it in. Then, the other ticket was used.

I don't know if the FEDS caught this person or not. They actually called my sister and told her about this. They might not be on their toes about 9-11, but they are on their toes with some things.

You know, I should be sleeping now, instead of spewing jibberish!

Woo Hoo! Tornado warnings and severe weather warnings here tonight. I LOVE Spring in the midwest!

Well, probably it IS an American site. But, keep in mind we don't have the corner on porn!

Now, CORN is another story. And WHEAT! We do have the corner on those, I think. I can drive for miles and miles and see nothing but corn and wheat on both sides of the road.

I just don't understand why you foreigners feel the need to drive on the wrong side of the road.

WOW! 240 shocks a minute to the bottom of the foot! That is a new treatment for foot pain. That's legit, folks. And it costs $2,000 American! I love electroplay, but I will do it for FREE!

My sub's feet don't hurt, I don't think. :D

sorry honey, you lost me way back at the stage of thinking about FEDS on their tippietoes.....

i mean, visualise it... a couple of burly guys, only able to touch the ground with their toes.... darn.

how can i think straight now?

and....

what i would give to have a feather handy....

I just said the FEDS called her and told her her credit card number had been stolen. It was because she NEVER has used it for scheduling airline flights, and this constituted unusual usage...one of the things they seem to be watching for, in this day and age of card theft.

The FEDS were caught sitting on their hands when 9-11 happened, but when it comes to credit card theft, they at least helped my sister.

What would you want a feather for? Does it have something to do with FEDS on their tippy toes, or something? Sounds kinky.

feathers dear have wonderful uses.

go and dream about some of them while i get to work. ;)

*belatedly remembers the reason for the thread*

thanks for taking a look at the site for me!
