Hello everyone!

I’m virtually brand new here on the forum - though I have been reading the stories for some time.

I’m a female, early fifties, on the East Coast of Australia, married with children. I’m quirky, funny, slightly nerdy, & flirtatious. I love cups of tea, laughing a lot, & dancing.

I am interested in a wide range of subjects and love to be exposed to new ideas and experiences, and quirky connections.

I’m looking for friendly, and perhaps intimate, conversations... which I haven’t had for a long time.
I’m not interested in sharing photos or meeting up (yet)...

Being confined to home has highlighted for me how much I miss physical and mental connections.

As you’ll probably have heard, we are hugely appreciative of all firefighters here in Australia - we have had a bit of a shit time over the Xmas period. So thank you for all that you do!

Well the Gold Coast does have some interesting spots - but further south we can get you up close and personal with kangaroos and wallabies, and even koalas - if they’re into you!!
Though to be honest, I think we’re better visited in the spring or autumn. Winter here in NSW can be bloody cold... apparently more people die here of hypothermia than in Scandinavia. Probably because the houses are so poorly insulated, rather than it actually getting truly cold.

Does your Cousin live over here? Or were you travelling together?
Perhaps you could tell me more in a PM - and more about the places you visited and enjoyed, and why?

YT - thank you! I’m not yet sure that RP is and I’ll go searching for your stories - I’m (actually not) afraid to say (!) that I’ll have a perspective and even some opinions and I’m usually fairly amenable to sharing them too!!!

I have been stunned by the kindness and generosity of the replies. I am overwhelmed by the fact that I hadn’t been bold enough to do this before. I had no idea this word existed. So another thank you for your welcome into it!!! Long may it continue to give me even just this level of joy!

Rhett here. Very new to the site myself but quite enjoy the experience. I'm former Army turned private security. I live in Canada. 36. Despite my job I'm a real book-nerd and enjoy penning tales now and then. Published some stuff in books but haven't made my breakthrough yet with novels. Work in Progress. I also do roleplay if that's your kind of thing and I know its all new so I promise I wouldn't be too hard on you if you sucked at it.

Also big tea drinker here. I drink a lot of peppermint tea through the day. Helps clear my head and cleanse my pallet. I love hot beverages and used to be an avid coffee drinker. I was skeptical to switch to tea but it's much better for my health. Yourself?

Habe you tried growing your own mint - lots of different types. Makes for a very dramatic flourish nipping out to your plants to get the freshly plucked leaves ready for steeping in the boiling water!!!

And just how much things have changed since my original posting.

I wanted to acknowledge and thank all the wonderful people who have messaged me... each of you made a wonderfully positive impact - and for that I am grateful.

And what a roller coaster of a year I’ve had.... some of the loveliest people exist here on Lit, and have spent time and effort, wit and titillation communicating with me.
