This is the IC thread for the Post-Apocalyptic RP I suggested.

The temporary camp on the California shoreline was both a recruitment center and staging point for the operation.
"Rumour has it that an off-shore oil drilling platform lies just beyond the horizon to the west," the grizzled older man said. He seemed to be a former military man, judging from his speech and demeanor. "Most importantly, the petroleum products available there are NOT radioactive."
The man pointed to several men gathered around the bonfire. The men all seemed to know each other; perhaps they all once belonged to the same military unit...
"You men will come with me," he said to the men he pointed out. "We'll form the preliminary scouting party."
He then turned to the remaining men and women -- all newcomers to the camp.
"If we're not back in 24 hours, it will be up to you guys to decide whether to come looking for us, or to decide that something bad happened to us -- something you can't handle," the grizzled man said grimly. "If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns, now is the time to speak up."
