Dr. Mackenzie sat on the front of her desk looking at the class and Darren Miller felt nervous every time her eyes flicked over him. It was the third day of class, freshman year, but it wasn’t new-school jitters that made Darren avoid her eyes, it was the fact that the screen behind her held and image of a couple in the throws of passion. “Your homework this weekend,” Ms. Mackenzie said, “Is to have intercourse with your assigned partner in at least three of the positions we discussed today.” She waited for the nervous murmur to subside. “You all knew this was coming,” she said. “You are to write at least one page about the experience. What went well, what went poorly. Gentlemen, I’ll expect to hear about at least one orgasm from each of the ladies. I know this will be the first time for some of you, so take your time and have fun.” Her eyes seemed to bore into Darren as the girls snickered a little.
“The name of your partner is on the paper you were handed at the beginning of class. Dismissed.”
Darren unfolded the paper again and looked over to where his partner sat, locking eyes with her and smiling nervously.
