Not that it matters, but it got me curious...
A recent poem of mine had some 70 reads and one vote (a 3 or a 4, cant remember, but nothing extreme). Now it has 110 reads, but the vote dissapeared. I've heard about the cleaning out of ones and fives due to trolling voters. But this? It seemed like a very normal one to me.

Votes vanish...or are eaten...perhaps stolen. Suggested culprits include faulty data storage, mail demons, or random physist who need those extra numbers in the lab in order to make thier equations work. Whatever the cause, culprit or results, there's been no sustaining explination, and certainly no ones recieved a ransom note that I know of.

Having had poems here for a few years, I'm never surprised to learn that they have no votes today (whereas I know they had the day, month, or year before). As such, I'm not aware that I've ever been on the top list of anything here...then again, I might just suck that bad :D

I don't know what to tell you but this happens from time to time. I've had poems in the past with just one vote (and it's been mine  ) and darn it, it would disappear.

Well, that would actually explain that. I've been told that there are different reasons, one being suspicion of self-vote.

So, if I was the one slamming that vote on ya Lin, it could be cancelled due to us having the same IP adress.

Don't recall that I did though. 'tis a realm cast in mystery, smoke, mirrors and dubious shadows. Ah yessss...

Wait... I can't vote for myself? But what if I really liked my poem and sent myself feedback?

Perhaps, your goal can be to have the lowest rated poem at lit. It's a worthy and reachable goal for you, WD. lol

Design, I don't get what you're saying.

D

Yeah, we could have the bottom 150 poems, like some of the "show us your Rack" sites.

Oh, I like that. The competition for number 150 would be brutal. Just think of all the fraudulent 5s given to low ranking poems just to bring their score up.

I was thinking the same thing. ;)
