Anyone here really looked into the business of forced lactation? I have a story mapped out as regards plot and characters but don't want to launch into it without being sure of my ground in certain areas.

Would be grateful for a private word or two via PM or email with anyone who's up on this.

I could be off-base on this, but based on my reading of hucow stories it's all bat-shit crazy fantasy. I wouldn't worry too much about the background research. Just have fun.

I echo Simon, that's a pretty out there kink so I don't think you have to worry too much about reality.

But if you did want something to go by, search the terms and check out some stories here in that vein.

Thanks, but... my story contends that something like this could be happening in that world rarely visited by most writers on here... the one we live in. I agree that "crazy fantasy" does indeed characterise most of what you read referring to the idea in erotic fiction, especially on here.

Therefore I require knowledge of the ins and outs of this 'way-out-there' kink as a possible practical proposition. Obviously, if it turns out it is totally impossible, that will be the end of the matter... but somehow I suspect we're talking grey areas.

Do you have writers you appreciate? It's my feeling that most writers appreciate attention, and I guess they would be very much willing to provide you their details about how they write their stories. Just contact them directly.

Thanks for the thought. I suppose there might be some mileage in trying to contact other writers directly - subject to the caveats voiced above.

As it happens, I think I must be an exception to your rule as I have yet to put any of my stuff on public display!

There's a base to work from. From there, you start researching the ins and outs of the various aspects, such as acquiring the hormone therapy, etc. Personal experience/knowledge is all well and good, but when you're dealing with something uncommon, finding reasonably reputable sources is a lot easier than finding someone on an individual level.

You might also want to do research on wetnurses, because the fetish requires maintenance as well as induction.

The only thing that matters is that it's plausible within the story.

The hucow fantasy usually involves two bits of magic to make it go. One is something that makes women who become hucows docile and compliant, like cows. This could be a lot of things -- hypnosis, a narcotic, psychological stress and training, whatever. I've read enough of these stories -- no snickers, please -- to say that an element of mind control is usually a big part of the fantasy.

The other is something to stimulate milk production. In the real world it's the hormone prolactin, but you could come up with some variation or something new that does the same thing only more so. Evil scientists probably have to lie somewhere in the background of the story.

But there's nothing that's going to make this a truly realistic story. Human women aren't going to settle down into barns to produce milk all day. It's nuts. And readers of these types of stories don't care. If you make even a semblance of making it real you will be an outlier. You could become the hucow story leader.

I'm just saying, it's not the highest bar in the world to jump over.

There's nothing wrong with that.

It is possible to be border-line realistic with this theme. I did write a story once on the theme, taking off for "A Clockwork Orange" with real women in the "milk bar."

As I understand lactation, and since I've never bore a child it isn't first hand, the hormone occurs in the eight of ninth month, and continues until suckling is ended. Some women breast feed children for years, well beyond any health necessity for the child. God only knows why.

The fetish doesn't appeal to me, not in any way, however, everyone has their own kinks and there will be a market on here for the stories. Wet nurses are used when mom's milk is void of nutritional value, and these women keep their milk production going as an economic need or convenience.

There even webcam whores that lactate in their shows. Umm Ewww, just Ewww.

Have you checked out this thread in the Fetish & Sexuality Central forum here:
Udders, hucows, mating and milking?

I don't know what all is in there but it's been going on for eight years

Outside of developed societies, multi-year suckling is used both for nutrition and for its side-effect of suppressing fertility.
Nursing frequency and birth spacing in Kung hunter-gatherers
But, sure, I've seen the odd article "yeah, my seven-year-old suckles, deal with it" and well, I can't explain those.

Once again, mmm Ewww, just Ewww. ;)

What I've heard of hucow fetishes in the past my immediate reaction was, to quote an illustrious person here, "mmm Ewww, just Ewww."

I'll not be reading any hucow stories and beyond scanning the first few entries of that thread I'll not be reading more... but, so long as everyone involved is willing, and so long as they do it Elsewhere... it's just another in the list of kinks that aren't in my list.

Are there any woman who actually like this? After all, you said forced lactation.

Many women enjoy breast-feeding there own babies. I've heard of some who prolonged it to older children, although I don't remember if those were fictional or not.

But for an adult male? I'm sure that if you can think of it, somebody has already done it. But it seems like a pretty narrow fetish.

Maybe I was wrong.

At first I thought this was tongue-in-cheek, a sort of joke, but I'm not so sure. The cowprint clothes are pretty amusing, however.

Anyway, it even has a forum. Start your research here. You've been here for a couple of years; it's time to write something, even if it's a hucow story.

You've done us a service with that link, my friend.

The OP needs to click on it and then click on the "How to be a Hucow" link and all his questions will be answered.

I suspect the article "A 5-Step Guide to Inducing Lactation" by "Moomamma" will be especially helpful. And, no doubt, supported by the latest science on the subject.

Ask, and you shall receive:

I'm the child of a pre-pill birth control mother, born at a time when it was typical to suckle a child for a couple of years as birth control as well as nurture. I don't remember it, but apparently I was still sporadically on the tit until I was three. And no, I absolutely do not have a big tit fetish, as anyone who has read a few of my stories will know.

Although I have had one or two exceptions to that rule... ;).

I've already got my next story title figured out, and it's a doozy, and I can hear the drum of penguin feet marching as the publication date draws near:

"Mom, You're a Hucow!"

Good man. Although your penguin, being a bird, is going to find it all a bit problematic ;).

It's amazing how many respondents seem to be totally concreted into their mindset on this issue. I suppose it's inevitable that people will tend to be influenced by the (crappy) stuff they've already read... but, really, they do seem to be all too willing prisoners of it in their casual assumptions about what will "answer all my questions".

Some outside-the-box thinking needs to be done here...
... and there is a fairly obvious difference between the words 'forced' and 'induced'.

You came to the AH seeking guidance, you got some, and now you turn around and slag everyone for chipping in?

You've got a niche fetish, you've asked for input from a bunch of writers with a wide enough range but not necessarily in the same niche. It's not clear to me what you expected. To be read with gravitas?
