HT fix my hair?

Yeah, I'm gonna sound like a whiner! Sorry.

My hair normally looks pretty much like this. About the same color too, but it's wavy/curly.

Several problems. I was unable to get a haircut with *my* stylist, the last two times. The two other stylists put their own twist on things, with the last one not cutting it short enough and also not quite even. This was in late Jan.

I badly needed a cut at the start of the pandemic and waited one day too long to try to make an appointment. Nope! Hair salons closed. And now we're being told that once they re-open, it will be a good three months to get an appointment.

To complicate matters, my hair salon moved to another city and I don't want to drive that far, so I'm going to have to switch. My daughter's friend's aunt is a stylist so I'm going to try her.

Now it looks more like the 5th woman down with the wavy, shaggy, medium bob, but...with bangs that come to the tip of my nose!

For a while, I was using a curling iron and some coconut curl enhancer. That looked good until the curls pulled out. So for about three hours. The shorter my hair is, the curlier it is.

Then I used a combination of two curling irons and switched to a different coconut product. That lasted for about two hours.

Now it's just droopy and bad looking. I can't really make a good ponytail. The holder slides right out. I've been using clips to keep it out of my face. That makes me look very plain. I can jazz it up with one of the big clip on flowers from one of my daughter's old dance costumes, But then I feel like I should break out the jazz hands and a big fake smile!

I am counting down the hours until I can meet my new guy for real. He has hair like mine but he's a guy and apparently owns one of those hair trimmer thingies. So he looks good.

I do have hairnet. Blech. Headbands. Also blech. My hair is fine so barrettes won't stay in. And In hate hair spray.

I know from experience that I can't cut hair.

What else can I do? And no, no wig.

I will probably have to wait three months after the salons open to get a hair cut. If my hair looked like the pic it would be okay. But I have bangs and they hang down to my nose. I do have a new person but haircuts are not allowed now. Not sure when they will open. And once they do open, they will only be allowed to see a few customer each day. Since I will be a new customer, I'll be low man on the totem pole.

As Penny said, we gentlemen will only mention your hair as being nice.

For me, it's the eyes first, then the face as a whole, then other bits, the hair, I know it can change on a whim, so it is the last thing that would bother me. As long as it's clean and nicely cared for... and isn't fifty shades of different colors and I have run into a few that did that.

The only time I complained about a woman's hair was when the ditz shaved it all off! I then had nothing to grab on to in certain circumstances.

Thanks! My main complaint is that *I* hate it. Normally I can just wash it and go. Can't do that any more and have to do something to keep out out of my eyes. I kind of need to see.

A little hair spray and sweep the bangs to the side, either to one side or split them in the middle.
