He's pretty much shown only a little more regard for most in his family than for anyone else other than himself--and that would be close to zero. (What was he doing on Mother's Day, with legitimate children by three wives? He was firing off a Tweet every two minutes.) I wouldn't buy family being a factor in anything he does. If it were, he wouldn't be doing everything he's now doing. He's pretty much guaranteed that all of them who manage to stay out of prison will be pariahs down several generations. He is not doing this for money. He really does want to make America great. Love him or hate him you have to admit that very few people can go day after day with all kinds of malicious people like Adam Shit and the fake news on a constant attack. So just his willing to serve as POTUS is a selfless act. I agree that he has a big ego and being POTUS is no doubt rewarding in that way but it still is a major sacrifice and he is not doing this just to boost his ego.

One of the reasons I don't like politicians is that I've met very few who weren't ego driven. I carefully considered what you said and I was going to answer that question as I would normally and I don't like to answer a question with a question but I'm going to try to take some liberty here. You feel that trump is under pressure from people who want to see him fail. The way I see that is that rather than after the election, state we are one country and lets look to building a better America together. He didn't, in fact before he was sworn I posted a new year wish that I genuinely hope that he grows into the office. Two hours latter he wished his supporters a Happy New Year and to the losers too. That turned out to be the high point in his relationship with US citizens who pay taxes but don't vote for him. He's been attacking ever since. He has made no effort at all to unite unless you unite in lock step behind him. That is just never going to happen. Do you think he would get so much hatred or just gets back what he puts out? Of course none of that works unless you hate us. The GOP has been working on that strategy of hatred for years. Trump happened to the one guy to come along with zero sense of dignity of human concern for anyone not named Ivanka, so he put their scorched earth policy into play

So as far as the noise coming at him, he has always been his own worst enemy and I'm sure his staff would tell you that if they could. Having read the Mueller Report and having watched a considerable portion of the impeachment hearing I feel most of the questions he gets and congressional oversight is justified.
