How would you feel if this happened to you?

A 21 yr old guy in Florida was racing his mustang down some back streets up to speeds of 190 km/hr and ran into another car.......killing his MOTHER and her friend...I sure would not want to be him when he wakes up from his head injuries.

Well, first of all, I was NEVER that stupid and dangerous to other people. But I can imagine that it would totally devastating to have someone tell you that you've killed your own parent while drag racing your car. How awful that must be!

Hell no I'm not a parent and have no desire to be a parent and really can't understand why anyone would want to be a parent what's more.

Is this a true story? I would be haunted by never ending guilt even if it was a stranger that died.

Hell no I'm not a parent and have no desire to be a parent and really can't understand why anyone would want to be a parent what's more.

Then do yourself and your potential offspring a favour and take yourself to the vet.

Whilst I respect your right that you do not desire to be a parent, I tell you that as a parent of two boys, 13 and 8. And a stepparent of four (the two boys (18 and 12) live with us also. 20, 18, 12 and 10 and Stepgamma to 15 month old.
I love all the kids equally. I am proud to be one of their parents. Loving them, teaching them, watching them learn and grow into fine young people. The joy (as well as heartache as the kids occassionally make mistakes and you hold their breath as they do) of being a parent is great.

I don't think he will ever get over this. I couldn't cope with the guilt IF I was dumb enough to be speeding and killed/injured anyone let alone my Mother and her friend.

It's a good thing parents don't know how their kids are going to end up, what they will think of their life, or others, or I'm afraid for you that your Mother would have terminted her pregnancy.

She feels a lot of guilt and while I have tried to assure her that I don't blame her for anything...does not believe me it would seem.
Could have saved us all a lot of pain if she had...would have been illegal at the time though...Roe v. Wade was passed 73' right?
I was about a year or so early for that.

I remember reading this article as well. His mother had gone out to take an elderly woman out to see some Christmas lights when the accident happened. The last article I read claimed that he would be charged for the murder.

being a person that made a stupid mistake of drag racing when I was a kid, I'm glad I didn't get hurt or hurt anyone else....I don't know how I'd be able to live with myself...that's just horrible.

kinda makes me glad that I got busted, so I stopped.

Here's a link for a local newspaper article about the incident. I've heard on local tv that the driver had 4 previous speeding tickets and that his parents had just given him the mustang. :-(
