All too often, it seems that family & offline friends lack an understanding of how much our online friends mean to us, and would have a hard time contacting our online communities if something happened.

In my case, there's a letter addressed to the sister of my heart, who my mother has promised to notify. In that letter are the passwords to my Yahoo and Hotmail accounts, with a request to e-mail everyone in my address books. This letter is with my health care documents.

Has anyone else made similar provisions?

I think Luna would cover for me.

If both of us died at the same time, well there is a letter in my safe, attached to my will that would cause my father to post here an announce what had happened. (He may not totally agree with my writing but for him it would be a matter of honor.)

(No it wasn't the day of my borth. On that day the Earth stopped and shuddered for a minute or three.)

My girlfriend informed me that she doesnt have an account on here and really didnt seem too interested in helping me out, so...
Someone I pm-ed this morning may be my best bet, as well as leaving a note for hubby.
He would do it but it would take time most likely for him to be able to accept my passing. Easier I think to have him do a mass email to contacts and have 'special' contacts do the posting for him.

Lit is just one big happy disfunctional family, I LOVE IT!

I was thinking about this and Abs would be the one to inform you all, since I know her physically (lucky, lucky me! ) and she would know rather quickly if something happened since the boy knows how close I am to her and has specific instructions to inform her first and foremost (yes, that means before my actual biological family) if something were to happen to me. He got these instructions about finding out about my health problems.
