Signed by Arkansas Governor Hutchinson (R) late Monday, “The Women’s Right to Know Regarding Abortion Act” requires health professionals to inform women seeking medication abortions that if she changes her mind, the process might be “reversible."

"... by telling women that their abortions are reversible, Arkansas and Arizona legislatures have lent validity to a process with almost no scientific backing, and which, according to the ACOG, is unlikely to be much better than doing nothing at all.

As Jennifer Dalven, director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Reproductive Freedom Project, said in a statement in response to the Arkansas law, “Extreme legislators are so focused on preventing a woman from getting an abortion that they are willing to ignore the medical experts and hide behind junk science.”

George R.R. Martin Continues to Address ‘Puppy-gate’ Controversy, Says the Hugo Awards May Be Broken


Martin addressed the personal meaning that the Hugos and Worldcon hold for him, and explained the Awards’ historically narrow margins of victory and how the small voting pool (at least relative to comparable awards/cons) allowed the self-proclaimed “Sad Puppies” to saturate this year’s slate.

"...they seem to want to take the Hugos and turn them into their own awards. Hey, anyone is welcome to join worldcon, to become part of worldcon fandom… but judging by the comments on the Torgesen and Correia sites, a lot of the Puppies seem to actively hate worldcon and the people who attend it, and want nothing to do with us."

Women who vote, come between men and their guns.

Women who vote cause taxpayer's money to be spent on things other than guns.

Women who vote are to blame for increased government spending, higher taxation, increased divorce, more single-parent households, more social pathologies and more government control over individual behaviour.

So, the New Misogynists voice the opinion that voting does not really matter. The New Misogynists invest time and energy to game the voting system in order to fuck up the Hugo Awards. Because The New Misogynists do not like a system that rewards writers who have progressive views. They do not like books that reflect the values of modern people, who believe a good life is available for all people.
