...view comments on my work, then follow on with a thanks, riposte etc?

On the new board, I can see my work and see comments, but it's not live and can't see a way of adding to it with the above.

I think the only way to do that is to go back to your story and add a comment with your thanks, or whatever. Probably few readers revisit your story to see if you responded, but some will.

If the person who commented has PMs turned on, you can send them your thanks.

Thanks both. Seems as usual for Lit - too complicated and it wasn't like that with the old board.

Dang, you mean you actually have a story that got past rejection? Nice.

It's the same - both old and new dash boards get you to the comments at the bottom of your story, which hasn't changed at all. From there, you can click on a (non-anon) commentator, and either send them a PM or go to their profile and send them feedback (if that person allows either/or). This is no different to how it was.

I though the idea was that an Author writes the stuff and puts it on the board.
Readers comment on it, one way or another.
I don't think there's a method for an author engaging in dialogue with a reader, though.
Except by PM, perhaps.

The author can put comments on the story as well.
