How to stop feeling inhibited

Hi!

I'm a new erotica author, having trouble really letting go and getting into the habit of writing freely.

My libido is pretty low on top of that.

What did you guys do to break free of your inhibitions?

Thanks

Write under an anonymous handle that cannot be associated with the real you.

Then pretend that anonymous persona doesn't give a fuck what anyone else might think of the stories written by that persona.

"I" didn't write all the stories posted by oggbashan. oggbashan did. Blame him, not the real "me".

I have plenty of inhibitions in the real world. Most people do.

But here -- in the world of stories? No. There's no reason to be inhibited. Nobody knows who you are, and there are no consequences for letting your fantasies rip. Go for it.

Too often people worry what others will think of them. They lose sight on what’s important. I’m guilty of it, wasting years worrying about what others would think of me being a transvestite. Honestly, when I stepped outside the house dressed the first time, it was an adrenaline rush, every step I took became easier. The ideas apply to all areas of life. As far as writing, I write for myself. Why would I care what others think, I’m not shallow anymore. However, when I post it online for others to read, I open myself up to what follows. Am I afraid of what they’ll think? Fuck no. 🌹Kant👠👠👠

Moderate alcohol use or writing at certain times of the day (early in the morning, late at night) are some things I've seen people try to get around inhibition.

I have the most uninhibited mind when I'm writing, but in real life, I have a tight control on what I say and do.

There are a small group of people who know what I write and read my stuff who are friends and don't judge. At least not to my face. ;)

Just keep writing. I got more and more inhibited as I wrote.
I do still have trouble with some words like pussy, or cunt, or slit. I just can't find any words I find acceptable for women's body parts.

Tell yourself nobody is ever going to see this story, then write the wildest story you can imagine. Then copy it to LIT and hit submit. Then panic. That's more or less what I did. And make sure you're totally anonymous. Use a Literotica specific email that's not associated with anything else. Surprisingly, you get over those inhibitions very quickly. Especially when readers enjoy your stories....

I actually wanted to sign up with my regular e-mailaccount (though not traceable to me or my actual name or nickname I use in general) but it never got the confirmation e-mail. Eventually I signed up with a spare account I never used before, which is now literally the lit-mailbox. Looking back at it, I think it was a good thing it never arrived. I feel a lot more comfortable knowing I don't get all kinds of horny people messaging me inbetween the other mails. So in a way, the Gentleman has become an actual persona for me now.

I didn't panic upon hitting the submit button, I just ended up being worried about whether anyone would actually start reading it :D Nothing worse for a writer to put something out for everyone to read and then realizing nobody even bothers to read it. Exept, perhaps, nobody liking it.
