How to start making money using a webcam?

I want to start trying to make some money out of my apartment. I have a laptop with a external webcam. I just don't know of what is the best legit site to go to and make some actual money.

I am transgendered and my roommate is a bisexual female. We both figure we can use the third room in our place to make some money , but we don't want to pick the wrong site.

Does anyone have some tips or a faq I can go to or just direct me to an awesome site?

In addition to seeing if you can find reviews of companies elsewhere online, you might want to cross-post this to The Darkroom Lounge or maybe Fetish & Sexuality in hopes of getting more replies. Once in awhile someone here says they make money this way, but I haven't seen anyone do so in quite sometime. IIRC, the last specific person I recall speaking about it is this GB'er, so I'd say try PMing him directly as well.

Its a fun cam site if that is all you are looking for.

You have to do your research. Sexyjobs.com and adultstaffing...or something like that. Then google something like webcam model board and find a discussion board when you can talk to real girls in the business.

I do phone sex so I have resumes on those sites and am constantly getting emails about being a webcam model but I have no interest in that. Don't know what is out there for transgendered, but the job postings will show you if that company is accepting apps from men, women, transsexuals, etc.

Again, do your research before you commit. And be ready to do a lot of paperwork and educate yourself on being an independent contractor. You really need to treat it as a business, in my opinion. Find out how you will get clients. You may need to do your own advertising. Depending on this you might get paid differently as the place you work for advertises for you so you get less $. Read, read, read.
