what is the best way to get revenge

pistols at dawn ... a knife in the back ... or horses head in the bed?

i'm thinking i like the sicilian way best but i don't want to hurt a horse ... is there anything i can do instead?

Unless your friend has been severely beaten or killed, I'd let them get their own revenge.

You wouldn't want to be the one who got caught taking matters in hand!

:)

i think that would be considered a rather nice thing to do ... not really the revenge i was looking for ... unless it was their favourite picture and i broke it first and left it in bed with them?

Not likely that she'd ever be alone.

You really should tailor it to the offense...

That's your cue. :D

never go in against a sicilian when death is on the line ........

i don't think death is on the line and i'm not sicilian but the offense is of the utmost severity and if i'm overreacting at least i will have some good revenges ready for the next time

i will be back later with more information on carrying out a revenge :)

"Vendetta"

You are familiar with the term vendetta?

It was coined in Napoli to describe Sicilian revenge.

First, the Sicilian would ruin you.

He would bankrupt your business, destroy your farm and leave you penniless, with no one to turn to.

Then, methodically he would begin to murder your family.

Perhaps he would begin with your parents, or perhaps your young children.

Slowly but surely, your loved ones would die one by one.

Finally, when there was nothing left to take away, they would come for you.

Even if the injured party died before the vendetta was complete, there was still no relief.

The Sicilian's family would continue where their fallen member had left off.

It was widely accepted that to end a Sicilian blood feud, God himself would have to descend from the heavens with an army of angels to wipe the accursed province of Sicily off the face of the earth.

If even the youngest infant or most aged grandfather managed to survive, God himself would have reason to fear.

This is what you want to go through with?

no darling; this is one of those situations where subtlety (sp?) may actually be more effective.

For example:
Go to a newsagent and collect a biiiiig handful of those subscription cards that are jammed into every magazine. Sign your subject up for the longest possible subscriptions for the widest possible range of weirdest possible magazines, and tick the "bill me later" box.

Trust me, it will take them the rest of their life to get off of all those damn mailing lists.

i love that peachy ok i'm saving that one for sure :)

but this was meant for internet revenge and i'm not really sure who it's against anyway :)

pink orchid that has always been my motto with these situations but i'm starting to think i'm missing out on a good portion of life by denying myself these kinds of pleasures ... perhaps our lives need more revenge in them

thank you ezzy yes i am aware of the term vendetta and now thanks to your post i'm even more versed in the term ... beware !!!

You don't know how it is against and it's only a virtual person? Hmmmm

I was going to suggest you watch the movie Amelie. You would watch a great movie and get some good ideas for Revenge.

I don't know. Revenge seems to affect the revenger more than the revengee. Sure, you make their life miserable, but you have to deal with your eventual feelings of the loss of your personal integrity.

It's just one of those things that always sound good, but really aren't in the long view...

Plotting is fun, though.:)

Chinese Proverb.

Before you start out to seek revenge, first dig two graves.

Meaning what goes around comes around and this is probably going to bite you in the ass.

I know someone who did this, along with signing another person up on a bunch of mailing lists as a prank. The person complained to the post office, and the mail inspector started investigating. It turns out doing anything like it is mail fraud and a felony.

my thirst for revenge has waned ... i just don't have the staying power :(

but thanks it was fun plotting and hearing plot ideas :)

In the US, maybe ;)

I'm sorry I caught this post-revenge seeking, but I thought I'd offer some ideas anyway.

A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. "Hear that?" you say. "That's dynamite, baby."

Sometimes when I feel like killing someone, I do a little trick to calm myself down. I'll go over to the persons house and ring the doorbell. When the person comes to the door, I'm gone, but you know what I've left on the porch? A jack-o-lantern with a knife stuck in the side of it's head with a note that says "You." After that I usually feel a lot better, and no harm done.

If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them.

BOTH of your goblets of wine!

but, then read the rest of your thread and realized you were out of the revenge business......maybe make swords? lol ;)

Pink orchid has a good point , the variation I heard was "the best revenge is a better lifestyle"
