How do I remove a story I have submitted?

Using your submissions page, enter the title of the story you want removed in the space for the title putting "- DELETE" immediately after it.

Leave the section for the body of the story blank.

I usually add another note in the "author's note" section that says something like "please remove this story. Thank you."

Click "submit" just like you would if you were submitting another story.

It should be down in a day or so.

That "just as if you were submitting another story" includes answering all of the questions and checking the same boxes you checked when you originally submitted the story you're deleting. If you blow those off or answer them wrong, the automated rejection routines will reject your request for a deletion before any action can be taken by the admins.

FWIW, I generally recommend putting "please delete this story" in both the body of the submission and in the comments field. rather than in the authors' notes field.

The comments field shows up in a bubble when a mouse hovers over the entry the submissions queue, so if you choose to explain why you need the story deleted that would be the place to put it.
