How to Post in the 'How To' Forum

In order for a thread to stay in this forum, it must specifically be looking for a response to "how to."

For instance, take my 5 starred pain thread. The thread is asking 'how to' cope with chronic pain.
Gil's abuse thread is asking 'how to' get over being abused.

If you don't want your thread to be moved, make sure it poses a question of 'how to' do something.
Similarly, if you don't want your posts to be moved out of this forum, make sure that the thread you're posting in is in the right forum.

I suggest reading thru the forum guidelines so you can familiarize yourself with the rules of Lit. And please realize that it isn't the mod who created these rules. The site's creators did, they had a good reason to, and they had the right to. There are over 123,000 members in Lit, which is quite impressive. However, with so many members, there have got to be some guidelines. So, here they are:

I thought we did fine........................Thats what is the problem anymore to many people moving shit. It is not a big deal let it be but some folks just can't do that......Lit. didn't get this big with folks fucking around with threads.......

Relax and let them be.........many folks are new and don't understand but once they get yelled at for posting in the wrong place they tend to go away.

What about the 3 years before you got here to tell everyone what to do? How did they get by?...........Just let them be, This is why folks get pissed.....Is it hurting anything...........They don't seam to be to me.........

Last time I looked I was aloud an opinion.........You stated how you feel and I did how I feel so let it be and move on...............

I always thought How To was a board that was doing rather fine. Sure, once in a while we had a stray, but with polite people suggesting their thread may do better in a more appropriate board, they will catch on.

I've thought about adding a "sticky" in Personals telling people I would be moving their non personal ads over to the Playground, but then I thought they'd catch on over time. No need to make someone feel bad or stupid for posting where they do.

Tact can go a long way.
