Hi, All!

There seems to be an amount of confusion going on, so I thought I'd clear some of it up -- if that's possible. ;)

The SDC (story discussion circle) is where we can sign up for a concentrated discussion on our stories.

The first step is to post your request for discussion on the 'New Author Nomination Thread'. The old one is there so I can follow it until all the interested authors that signed up previously can still have a chance to participate.

Next -- Discuss the other stories that come out each week while you wait for yours to come up in the rotation. (Tip -- the more you join in the discussions, the quicker your own work will rotate up!)

Then wait for me to contact you via email. I will do so before I post your story for discussion to make sure you are still interested and available for the week.

1) I pick one story a week for discussion. The selection is based on two criteria.
A) Where you are in the nomination thread (first come first serve).
B) How much you have participated in the discussions of other stories.

2) It is necessary that the author participate in these discussions. The basic first step is that the author post the first response when I put the link to the story up for the week's discussion. Add in after that where ever you see fit.

3) It is also a good idea to look through the discussion tips and advice to help you give honest and thoughtful reviews for the discussions.

Now, on with the discussions!

What to put on your Author Post

The Author Post is the first posting after the thread for your story is put up. I'd like each author to tell us a little bit about the story, so we can get a feel for what you want to discuss about it before we read it.

Things like -- my grammar sucks and I know it. Please concentrate on the content of the story -- or -- I’m looking to see if I’ve been using commas and semi-colons correctly. -- or -- Please tell me if my characters are believeable.

Get a little detailed or you might find people concentrating on something that you really don’t care about.
