Hey! I have a few questions about the site and can't seem to locate the forum area where my questions will be answered so here goes:

1. How longs it take for a profile pic to be verified?
2. How longs it take for a story to be verified?
3. How do I add my copyright to my stories?

Any answers are greatly appreciated?

Is this a profile picture on the story side of the site?
If it is, it probably will never be verified until the get the new control panel all straightened out.
If it's a profile pic for the BB side you will need 100 post to have the section in the User CP to become active.

2. How longs it take for a story to be verified?
Usually 2 - 3 days, but there is a contest going on and those entries go to the front of the cue. Also Laurel is trying to catch up on monthly contest winners so think a week or 10 days. Any longer than that you should PM Laurel.

3. How do I add my copyright to my stories?
Hmmm...A copyright symbol is added by the site. Most authors put a paragraph at the beginning of the story with that information.

Any answers are greatly appreciated?

Hope this helps.

ETA: to activate your PMs go into the User CP then click on Profile Options, scroll down to Messaging & Notifications and check the box to Enable Messaging. Don't forget to scroll down to the bottom and click on save changes.

Good news: you automatically have copyright on your stories when they're published.

Bad news: it's effectively unenforceable unless you pay money to register your stories with the US Copyright Office, which is generally not worth it; even if you do register, you're not likely to be able to ID story thieves to sue them.

Reality: Anything posted on the Net is raw meat for the scavengers. Once out there, it's beyond your control. Whatever you post is copied to the computers of whomever sees it. Kiss it goodbye.
