UPDATE -- It seems, if I'd waited another few hours, I would have gotten the answer! Story was sent back. I had a request in the comments about story linkage, which apparently was prohibited by constraints in the site back end.
Original post below:
--------------------------------
The sequence of events:
- 10 days ago, I submitted a story, along with the Summer Lovin contest key phrase.
- A few hours later, story was rejected. Without going into details, it was ineligible for the contest. The moderator's note said nothing about anything problematic with the story itself.
- Seeing that, I resubmitted the story without the Summer Lovin contest phrase, and a little note about withdrawing from the contest.
Since it's been so long, I'm worried that I've somehow messed something up with getting a story rejected and resubmitting it. Sorry to create yet another "WHY HASN'T MY STORY BEEN POSTED YET!" thread, I know you all must be sick of them. I know, with the contest stories getting priority and generally higher traffic during the summer months, there's plenty of reasons why the delay might be perfectly normal. I'm just wondering if there's a way to check whether I've done something wrong on my end?
Thanks all,
Lydra
