How to "ignore" a user?

Has anyone here brought up the "nuclear ignore" feature? There is a site you go to and enter the persons name and you will not even be able to see when people quote them.

Stella Omega explained it to me once, but of course I forgot

It most likely would not work on alts though....

But except for some of the pervs who stalk women through the personals, the only forums that get bad are the GB and the Playground, the AH is mostly harmless bickering except for Scouries who even laurel's biggest defenders in that forum cannot comprehend why he is still allowed here.

This is an opportunity to show the OP how this ignore function can work. If curious, I could take Hatecraft off ignore to see what that flurry of posts is about. But, knowing how Hatecraft is (I trust those posts demonstrate the cyberbully stalker aspect of him I posted to), I'm sure I don't want to see his rabid ranting. So, the ignore function notes he has posted (I could open the posts if I was in the mood to read them--by either taking him off ignore temporarily or going into lurker mode, which doesn't hide "ignored" posts), but I don't see the content of the posts otherwise. That's how ignore works. I don't get the irritation; I can leave the stewing in bile to him.

Yep. Hence the at least partial usefulness of the ignore function.

I think that's part of a plug-in that you can get for V bulletin.

It's a feature of Firefox. There's an app you download that will ignore completely the people you place on ignore using the Firefox app.

So if you use some other browser...you still have to put up with idiots names appearing in the thread.

I don't know that it is, I have never used Firefox, nor the app I mentioned.

Playground? Have you ever been there? There is only 1 person I ignored there and that is when I was new. Someone who fought with query, I don't even recall his name.

The playground is a fun zone, even our trolls are likeable.

They won’t be able to tell that they are on ignore. If someone tries to send a PM to someone who is ignored, I believe it will appear as though the intended recipient has PMs turned off.

No, they can't tell. But your feed is much tidier without them.
