Don't join a gym just to find an older woman, go if you want to but don't just join to find one.

Keep in mind that not all "older" women go for younger men. Some just don't have the time or inclination to "teach" a younger man. Others have problems with being a notch on someone's bedpost just because of their age.

Jregs, Ezzy's advice to find some other sites, get out and stop looking desperate(ly) is spot on. My experience has been that I do far better meeting people on a site like this when I post regularly in the different forums and actually get to know people. Try introducing yourself here, exploring the different areas of Lit, and posting regularly to a variety of threads (with more content than, say, 'hi. male from NJ here. Anyone wanna chat? PM me' or playing the games), and you'll likely have some luck meeting some older ladies.
