Recently I have been wading through gazillions of pm's, far too many for me to be able to regularly correspond with all of them (unless I quit working and devote my days to Literotica - hmmmm considers that concept seriously...). I have been forced to try to weed out the ones that just don't quite make the grade and having no real better method, I just look at their first posting to me and see if it "rings my bell" or not (and what rings my bell falls under a whole other posting entirely). If not, I send them a politely worded response declining their offer at this time.
Now at this point is where it gets interesting...
The responses overall to my polite "rejection" missive seem to fall into three camps:
1) The "Whatever, go fuck yourself bitch" category - hmmmm thank you, that beautifully confirms that I was absolutely correct to decline your ever so charming invitation to "fuck me. now." which was the full text of your first pm to me.
2) The "Thanks for letting me know" category - now these, I am neutral on... Their response is polite, so I'm a little bit regretful as I wonder if I might have missed an opportunity but also pragmatic because there simply aren't enough hours in the day and thus not regretful enough to change my mind...
and then there is the third category...
3) The "My response to your rejection is to write you something charming / lustful / flattering / whatever that actually really DOES ring my bell" category - where they respond in just such a way that it throws up a huge flag that says wait a minute, wait a minute, don't be so quick to let this one slide by... Backpedal on that declining please...
Now I don't know exactly what they might say to land them into category 3. I know exactly what they say to stay in category 1 and 2 is simply not enough information to make me change my mind... But category 3... hmmm some very nice surprises have come from category 3.
So my question to you is... Have you ever turned someone down and then, based on how they handled your response, decided to change your mind and give them another chance???
