How to embed images into my Lit signature?

I would like to insert an image for my just-published novel into my Literotica signature, in place of an ETA note, but the site seems to want a URL for it. My understanding is that Lit's TOS allows this. Is it possible to just upload an image (that also links to the publisher's site)?

I've only managed to take them directly from the Amazon listing, putting them between and

Now that you've attached it to your post, you do have a URL for it.

It may not look like an image URL, but it is. The code above is what I'm using to display the image immediately below it.

ETA: Forgot you wanted a link. Here's example code, using a link to Lit's main page as a standin.

[url=https://www.literotica.com][img]https://forum.literotica.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2122685&d=1628741241[/img][/url]

If you hover over the second cover, you'll see it now links to Lit's main page. Just replace with the URL you need.

I don't see images in my view.

Later: Now I do, but the putting the URLs between the codes didn't produce images in my view.

If you really want to go crazy, and maintain your original context from the text link:

[tr][td][/td][td]The Dog Whisperer (ETA: 2021) - Valley Winter Loop, Celtic Vampiress, Personal Assistant[/td][/tr]

Produces a text link as well, for those who may not realize the image is clickable.

Thank you! Now that I (think I) have the gist, I tried to go one better. An HTML (or whatever the local equivalent might be) table with two rows, the first with the clickable image of the published books (of which there is presently exactly one, though I'm obviously working on that) and the second with the clickable book title. But there's a great gap above the image row and a smaller one after the text row. Is that fixable? I'm not an HTML guy, but I can generally follow the tune, no matter what tech.

The bbcode is weird and quirky. The first rule is that any carriage return is processed. So anywhere you don't want vertical space, you have to keep everything in the same line.

Beyond that, you just have to experiment. I ended up using white asterisks for some added spacing in mine. You may need to add all the other text as another table row to get rid of unwanted space. However, that may mess up your image display. You have no control over table or column width. It's determined by the content.

Possibly switch the columns for the text and the image in the top portion, and then put all the other text into a new table row. The two sets of text may then appear as desired.

Really all you can do once you start messing with the table bbcode is preview, tweak, preview, tweak until you achieve a reasonable facsimile of the desired result.

Well, that sort of tinkering reduced vertical whitespace by about 3mm, which helps even though I could lose 4x as much more, but it also gave me better insight into how the mechanics work. Thank you!

My stuff on Literotica and Smashwords

Packback (Summer Lovin' 2019) and its "meta-sequel" Flightback
Real Amazons, Real Magic: Were-Tigress, Cascade Fire, Crossings, Sanctuaries
Senioritis (Chapters 1-15)
[tr][td][/td]
[td]The Dog Whisperer

Valley Winter Loop, Celtic Vampiress, Personal Assistant[/td][/tr]

========================================

That's how I probably would have gone about it. You could also compress the text next to the image by putting a carriage return after each comma, leaving room for your next release, which would look like this.

===========================================

[tr][td][/td]
[td]The Dog Whisperer

Valley Winter Loop,
Celtic Vampiress,
Personal Assistant[/td][/tr]

==========================================

Then your next release ( repeating the current one as an example would look like this

==========================================

[tr][td][/td]
[td]The Dog Whisperer

Valley Winter Loop,
Celtic Vampiress,
Personal Assistant[/td][td][/td]
[td]The Dog Whisperer

Valley Winter Loop,
Celtic Vampiress,
Personal Assistant[/td][/tr]

==========================================

And here's the code for that:

[td][url=https://eroticbooknetwork.com/product-category/authors/robert-w-connor]The Dog Whisperer[/url]

You might be able to squeeze in three releases at a time with this format and image size.
