How to edit a thread's title?

I see many threads in fora such as "Sexual Role Play", where the title contains things like "(Closed)" or "(Open)".

I'm guessing these modifiers in the thread title is transient, which implies that it's probably fairly straight-forward to edit the title of a thread, but all I managed to do was changing the titles of posts within a thread.

Anyone can help me out on that?

My impression is that only a site moderator can edit a thread title.

They aren't transient. Many times two people have agreed in advance to write and SRP together...and they "close" it so no others participate.

Some are "open" while looking for a partner. There have even been those that are "open" because there are many roles in the rp. Often you will see nothing in the title, and the opening post will state whether it is closed or not.

As mentioned, only Mods can change a title.
