When you open a page to read here ... you will see your screen name in upper right ... click on it .. it should take you to your user control page... look up left on that page first entry should be profile .. click on it .. it will show you where you chose pic or avatar ... easy from there ... you will figure it out.
To clarify .. wheb you open a section or when you first see the sections listed ... that is when your screen name will appear upper right ... or just sign in and you can to to the user profile page ..
